Commercial ›Heartburn MD‹
The Optix Animation Team headed by Mohammad Ghorbankarimi collaborated with Creative Director David Van Fleet to develop the Characters. The spot involved several fire spewing, heartburn inducing characters - a Hotdog, Jalapeno and a slice of Pizza, attacking a heartburn medication box that defeats them with icy breath and swallows them whole. Characters were modeled and animated in Maya and Rendered in Mentalray. Advanced particle effects were developed to simulate ice and fire. Photo real BBQ backyard backgrounds were generated by combining multiple elements with footage shot on green screen. The spot also involved pack replacements, including tracking pack designs onto existing boxes in an actor’s hand.
