Ila Soleimani
Animation Director
Ila is very passionate about 3D Animation thanks in large part to PIXAR. It was the short film ‘Tin Toy’, the winner of 1987 Oscar for short animated film that paved the way for his life in animation. Ila started his career in 1993 while studying Graphic Designing in Tehran. Ila pursued his dream by joining Hoor, one of the pioneers in Iran’s computer graphic scene as an Animator and later an Art Director for TV Commercials. After working for 6 years as a freelancer & another 2 years in Game industry, Ila went to Singapore to work as Lecturer and Animation Director at ‘3dsense Media School’ and ‘Lights n Shadows’ working in post & FX for another 2 years. Recently he has immigrated to Toronto with his wife and son. His first individual & independent short animated film ‘Quest for the mystic Moogoo fruit!’ premiered at the Sprockets film festival in 2006, and eventually he joined Optix Digital Pictures as Animation Director.
